WELCOME TO PETERSENS GARAGE
Petersens Garage was established in 1946. We are a third-generation mechanical workshop and traditional petrol station located in beautiful Bundanoon, servicing the Southern Highlands Region of NSW.
From full logbook servicing on all popular makes, as well as mechanical repairs, fault diagnosis to the supply and fitting tyres, batteries and tow bars we cater to any age make and model of car and are great affordable alternative to servicing with your main dealer.
We use the latest diagnostic technology, source the best quality parts and use only top-brand oils and fluids, so there’s no fear of compromising your manufacturer’s warranty.
When you bring your car to us, you can feel confident that it will receive the best treatment, and all work will be explained in a transparent, clear way.
In short, we believe in Classic Service, and we look forward to welcoming you soon.
ABOUT US
After serving in the Merchant Navy during WW2, Founder of Petersens Garage, Christian Petersen returned to Australia and found himself in Bundanoon, where he fell in love, married and established a small mechanical workshop.
In the 50s, the business moved into its current premises, built with local wood and concrete-bricks made on site due to post-war shortages. Christian’s son Chris took over the family business in the 60s and he and his wife Erika ran the business up until recently, when Mat Petersen, the third generation, took the reins with new business partners with the aim renovating the current site to cater for a wider range of modern and classic cars.
These changes have already begun, with a new welcoming reception area, with lots more exciting new things to come.
Petersens Garage will offer the local community a destination point for all their cars, with the addition of classic car servicing and dedicated workshop area for these special cars.
We are now beginning to restore the Garage building to its former glory, with a larger workshop to grow into, with a focus on bringing you Classic Service for generations to come.
